Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Governor Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), stated that the "Amazing Thailand Out There" event is part of the "Amazing Romance Month" campaign, celebrating the "Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year 2025." The event is designed to cater to couples and LGBTQ+ travelers in February 2025, with a particular focus on the LGBTQ+ market, which TAT has actively promoted since 2012 through the "Go Thai Be Free" campaign. This campaign has consistently communicated Thailand’s position as an LGBTQ+ Friendly Destination. The recent enactment of the Marriage Equality Act in January has further boosted Thailand’s reputation and confidence among LGBTQ+ travelers, making the country a preferred destination. The LGBTQ+ market represents a high-spending, quality tourist segment that is gaining attention from both social trends and businesses worldwide. By targeting this market, TAT aims to enhance market opportunities, add value to Thai products and services, and strengthen Thailand’s image as an inclusive and welcoming destination for all travelers.
