Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) with Karyomapping evaluates the possibility of an embryo carrying a gene variant associated with a single-gene condition and permits screening of embryos for the likelihood of carrying a defective gene prior to transfer into the uterus. We are able to screen for 240 genetic diseases. Prior to embryo transfer in an IVF cycle, preimplantation genetic screening (PGS) detects the chromosomal state of an embryo by screening all 23 chromosome pairs.
